How do I advertise on the network?
Go to Sign up, choose your editions, positions and months and confirm with the code we email you. We then send a proper invoice. Once it is paid, we ask you for your artwork and your banner goes live.
Can I start small?
Yes. One edition, the position below the article image, one month: USD 9. Add editions or the end-of-article position whenever you are ready.
How much does it cost?
USD 9 per edition per month for the position directly below the article image, and USD 5 per edition per month for the end of the article. Both positions together are USD 14 per edition a month. A 3-month term is 10% off, 6 months 15% off and 12 months 20% off. Your invoice confirms the amount.
Do I send my banner when I sign up?
No. Signing up takes your details and your choices only. We ask for your artwork after the invoice is paid, and tell you then exactly how to send it.
What size is the banner?
One size only: 1500 x 250 pixels, as a JPG, PNG or GIF up to 2 MB. Animated GIFs run. Every file is checked by its own contents before it goes anywhere near an article.
Where does my banner appear?
In the positions you choose on every article of the editions you choose: directly below the article image, at the end of the article, or both. Nowhere else on the page.
Why not just use Google?
Google places your banner wherever its auction lands, at a price that moves with demand. Here your banner sits inside named business magazines read across twelve African markets, at a fixed price, with no bidding and no budget that runs out overnight.
What happens if more than one advertiser books the same position?
Booked banners take turns in that position from one page view to the next, so every booked banner is shown.
How are views and clicks counted?
A view counts once at least half of your banner is on the reader's screen. A click is counted before the reader reaches your page, which opens in a new tab.
I am not an advertiser. How do I reach Cabanga?
Use the Contact page. It takes enquiries from partners, investors, media, contributors, suppliers and readers, and you can reach our offices in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia directly.
