Cabanga Ads · What We Do

What
We Do

Everything an agency does reduces to four verbs. Most agencies quietly drop the fourth. Ours is written into the contract.

In one line
  • Everything an agency can be asked for reduces to four verbs: decide, make, place, prove.
  • Most agencies sell the first three. Prove is the one that gets dropped, and it is the one we lead with.
  • Engagements run as projects or retainers, at four depths from adviser through to fractional marketing leadership.
The Method

Four verbs.
Everything else follows.

We do not sell you a department. A roadshow, a podcast, a rebrand, a market entry and a website are not five different businesses - they are five different answers produced by the same four steps. This is the whole company, in order.

01
Strategy

Decide

Before anything gets made, somebody has to say who this is for, what is actually being sold to them, and what single job the work has to do. Most briefs skip this and pay for it twice later. Everything downstream gets cheaper and sharper when the decision is made properly first.

Inside this: go-to-market strategy · brand development and positioning · audience and market research · naming and brand architecture · messaging and proposition · campaign planning · competitive analysis

02
Craft

Make

The work itself - the thing a customer actually meets. We do not restrict this to a format. If the argument needs a website, we build a website. If it needs a product range, a stand, a series or a sound, we build that instead. The format follows the decision, never the other way round.

Inside this: brand identity and design · web and e-commerce build · copywriting · content and editorial · video and photography · podcast and audio · packaging and print · activations, stands and roadshow build

03
Distribution

Place

Made work that nobody sees is a cost, not an asset. We put it in front of the right people - paid, owned or earned. We own twelve magazine editions circulating in twenty-four countries, which means part of your distribution is already ours: no reseller margin, no waiting on a third-party publisher. Where your audience sits elsewhere, we buy elsewhere.

Inside this: paid media and advertising · e-commerce and shopping advertising · placement across the Cabanga network · public relations and features · SEO and AI search · social media · email marketing · events and roadshows

04
Accountability

Prove

The verb the rest of the industry quietly drops. We measure against the decision made in step one, report on revenue rather than applause, and change what did not move. An agency that cannot tell you what worked was never accountable for any of it.

Inside this: tracking and analytics · conversion and revenue reporting · attribution · creative testing · monthly reporting · ongoing optimisation

Where It Starts

The three lines
you can buy directly.

Two of these carry published figures, so you can size the thing before you speak to anyone. Every figure on this site lives in one place - the packages page - in rand, pula or dollars at the live rate. Everything else is quoted against the brief, because a roadshow and a rebrand do not share a price list.

Platform Build

Web Design

Your website is no longer a brochure. It is your business headquarters, sales engine, authority platform and global office. Every build runs on a CMS you control, is engineered to be found by Google and by AI search, and is yours outright - never a page rented on someone else's platform.

Growth Retainer

Digital Marketing

Digital presence alone does not drive growth. We run structured, full-stack marketing that aligns strategy, media, advertising, content and analytics into one measurable growth system - and reports on revenue, not vanity metrics. Minimum six-month engagement, billed monthly.

Owned Media

Ad Placement

Every article page across the Cabanga network carries a dedicated advertising slot, and that inventory is ours. Placement is bought by title, cluster or network rather than by package, and it is quoted on the published rate card.

The four verbs, in full
VerbThe question it answersWhat you receive
DecideWho is it for, what is being sold, what must the work doPositioning, strategy, the written decision
MakeWhat is the thing itselfBrand, copy, design, build, film, campaign assets
PlaceWhere do the right people meet itMedia plan and buying, paid, owned and earned
ProveDid it move the number it was made to moveMeasurement, reporting, and the change where it did not
How a first engagement usually runs
  1. The decision is written down and agreed before anything is made.
  2. The work is made against that decision, not against taste.
  3. It is placed where the people who matter will meet it.
  4. It is measured against the decision, and changed where it did not move.
How We Work

Five stages.
Four depths.

Every engagement runs on the same five-stage method, whatever its size, and you can hire the agency at four different depths. One named person carries the commercial result and signs the reporting either way.

  1. 01
DiscoveryMarket, objective and commercial ambition established before anything is designed.
  2. 02
StrategyA single written plan covering platform, media and placement.
  3. 03
BuildCreative and platform produced, reviewed and signed off against the plan.
  4. 04
PlacementMedia bought and scheduled - network inventory, paid platforms, or both.
  5. 05
ReportMonthly performance review against the commercial objective, then optimise.
01
AdviserYou keep your team. We are retained for the judgement - strategy, positioning, budget allocation, and an honest read on work in progress.Retained, quarterly
02
Specialist UnitOne discipline done properly and nothing else. The platform, the campaign, or the placement, held in writing to a stated outcome.Per engagement
03
Marketing DepartmentWe are the department. Strategy, creative, production, media and reporting run end to end, retained.Retained, six months minimum
04
Fractional LeadershipA marketing director who sits at your table, sets the standard and answers to the board, without the seat on the payroll.Retained, by arrangement
Questions We Are Actually Asked

Straight answers.

What services does Cabanga Ads offer?
Brand and marketing strategy, creative and production, web design and development, digital marketing and search, media planning and placement, magazine advertising placement, and measurement and reporting. The site groups them under four verbs rather than a service list, because clients rarely need only one.
Do you work on single projects or only retainers?
Both. A project has a defined end; a retainer is a standing commitment where the agency carries the marketing function. Which one fits is usually obvious once the commercial goal is written down.
Do you take on one capability, such as search only?
Yes, at the specialist unit depth, where we run one capability alongside your existing team. We will say plainly if the capability you have asked for cannot fix the problem you have described.
How long does a first engagement take?
It depends on the decision, not the deliverable. A positioning and identity engagement is usually measured in weeks; a retained marketing function is continuous and reviewed on a monthly reporting cycle.

Not what you want built. What the business needs to achieve. Book a strategy session and you will leave it with a written read on where the growth actually is, what it will take, and whether we are the right people to do it. No deck, no pitch theatre, no obligation.

Or write directly to ads@cabanga.africa. One conversation is usually enough to know whether this is worth either party's time.
